25 YEARS OF at home

25 years of at home 1982 – The doors opened to the New York inspired at home dinner party shop in Cobham, Surrey created by Marilyn Newman. Offering access to fresh dishes of the day, starters, puddings, chocolates, wines, freshly ground coffee down to the perfect piece of cheese, customers were treated to and still are to this day a daily changing menu all cooked on site by a team of dedicated Chefs.

From 1985 the business started to expand naturally with requests for Chefs & Waiters to attend parties along with the food.  This is when the business took a real upward turn with an entrée into the Music and Entertainment world as many major players lived in the area

Following the success of the intimate events the demand grew for at home's involvement in the design side of parties; Surroundings setting the tone to reflect the quality of the food & service. The Party design and planning enhanced our involvement in Themed events, Weddings and Award Shows.

1992 – The dream team was born!
Marilyn was joined by John Walker MD followed swiftly by Jeremy Palmer- Executive Chef, Christophe Perrier- Operations Director & Emma Blanc – Events Director

The knowledge gained having worked together for this long has kept the quality to high and exacting standards as all of them are food driven and understand the importance of consistency.

The settings at  home are now able to create and design after all this time have been compared to film sets with fun and food, you have to enjoy the whole experience

1996 – at home's passion for food and innovative ideas attracted a new beginning into the Music industry after being given the chance to cater for the Brit Awards. During this time we attracted other clients in the Design and Media worlds and have worked on numerous and varied style of Award shows.

at home's strength has been created by the personal touch - understanding and realising your ideas and dreams for all of our parties. As much effort and experience goes into a dinner in you dining room or marquee as an award show for thousands.

2007 – Looking forward to seeing our devoted customers and meeting a new clientele. And most of all creating more imaginative and exciting parties with sumptuous food in the UK and abroad.
